What’s The Plan? (Part Two)
This seems an appropriate place to introduce a fourth character into the narrative that is developing.
the enemy
You may have noticed that I have not capitalised the above sentence or used a full stop.
You may also have noticed that I did not use a full stop for the final sentence of the previous article in this series.
That is deliberate.
the enemy is not worthy of capital letters or punctuation
I make such a statement giving full credence to the attitude and resultant words of the Archangel Michael towards the enemy when he was disputing with him over the body of Moses.
These words have been recorded for us by Jude, one of Jesus’ brothers in the flesh (and subsequently a Brother in the Spirit before his death):
“The LORD rebuke you”
We are fools if we think we can trifle with the enemy
Our lot will be like that of the seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish Chief Priest, as recorded for us by Luke, a medical doctor and meticulous recorder and scribe on behalf of Jesus:
“....the evil spirit….leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against the, so that they fled….naked and wounded.”
Such will be our experience, whether literally or metaphorically, if we try to take on the enemy of our souls without being known by him as Jesus and Paul (formerly the Chief Human Hater and Persecutor of The Way (the True Followers of Jesus Christ), Saul of Tarsus) were known by him.
The only way to be known in this way by the enemy is to have the same Spirit in Us as Jesus had in Him when He walked the earth the first time.
You’ll know if you have this Spirit.
The things of this world will not touch you.
Fear, anxiety, paranoia, jealousy, hatred, uncontrollable behaviours, uncontrollable tongue, striving, exhaustion, confusion, shame, guilt, feelings of and fear of rejection.
Things of the past, a shadowy illusion.
An unreality.
And instead, wherever You are in the world (including Your Inner World), You will increasingly know ever and over flowing love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, perseverance, self control, health, provision, purpose, favour, success, courage and grace for Yourself and Others.
Do you have this Spirit?
