What Will Life Be Like In The New Heavens & New Earth?

I will never forget the drive to my mums a few years ago, when the Lord asked me to start listening to the book of Isaiah before I set off driving. He specifically asked me to start listening from chapter 40.

During my journey, whilst continuing to listen to the book of Isaiah being read out from my YouVersion Bible app through my car speakers, I suddenly heard a piece of Scripture which suddenly made me glance at my phone to see what chapter and verse it was.

Within a few seconds I could see the chapter and verse that I had just heard, from which the Lord said to me:

“My son, this is for the times I have chosen you and everyone to live in now. You are going to see this with your own eyes.”

Wow, wow, wow, wow. As the Word tells us:

But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

1 Corinthians 2:8-9

So, What Scripture Was It Within Isaiah?

This is the Scripture that led me to suddenly glance at my phone whilst driving on the motorway to my mums.

“No longer will babies die when only a few days old.
No longer will adults die before they have lived a full life.
No longer will people be considered old at one hundred!
Only the cursed will die that young!”

Isaiah 65:20

“No longer will people be considered old at one hundred!”

I receive that.

Do you?

What Else Are We Stepping In To?

Here is Isaiah 65 from verse 17 through to the end of the chapter.

Be edified.

Be inspired.

Receive the Word of God.

New Heavens & a New Earth are coming.

17 “Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth,
and no one will even think about the old ones anymore.

18 Be glad; rejoice forever in my creation!
And look! I will create Jerusalem as a place of happiness.
Her people will be a source of joy.
19 I will rejoice over Jerusalem and delight in my people.
And the sound of weeping and crying will be heard in it no more.
20 “No longer will babies die when only a few days old.
No longer will adults die before they have lived a full life.
No longer will people be considered old at one hundred!
Only the cursed will die that young!
21 In those days people will live in the houses they build
and eat the fruit of their own vineyards.
22 Unlike the past, invaders will not take their houses
    and confiscate their vineyards.
For my people will live as long as trees,
and my chosen ones will have time to enjoy their hard-won gains.
23 They will not work in vain,
and their children will not be doomed to misfortune.
For they are people blessed by the Lord,
and their children, too, will be blessed.
24 I will answer them before they even call to me.
While they are still talking about their needs,
I will go ahead and answer their prayers!
25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together.
The lion will eat hay like a cow.
But the snakes will eat dust.
In those days no one will be hurt or destroyed on my holy mountain.
    I, the Lord, have spoken!”
