Thank God The Sun Moves
After been told and taught by man (starting at Primary School) that the Earth is continuously orbiting around the sun (at 66,615.96 mph according to Wikipedia), it was with great joy and delight that I started reading the Scriptures to learn the truth about how it is in fact the sun moving, not the Earth, as I observe when I see the sun moving across the sky throughout the day.
I have brought together a number of Scriptures relating to the sun and Earth, which you may not be familiar with.
Before that, the Spirit has asked me to share some other Scriptures too.
Be edified by the Word of God, Hallelujah.
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.
Hebrews 4:12-13
“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
Numbers 23:19 NLT
“Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.”
Romans 3:4 NLT
“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.”
Colossians 2:8 NLT
Scriptures On The Moving Sun
The sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again.
Ecclesiastes 1:5
“The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.”
Psalms 19:6 NLT
Lot reached the village just as the sun was rising over the horizon.
Genesis 19:23
You made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set.
Psalms 104:19
He shakes the earth from its place, and its foundations tremble. If he commands it, the sun won’t rise and the stars won’t shine. He alone has spread out the heavens and marches on the waves of the sea.
Job 9:6-8
As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one.
Luke 4:40
The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all of their achievements.
James 1:11
Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb.
Mark 16:2
So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies. Is this event not recorded in The Book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day. There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the Lord answered such a prayer. Surely the Lord fought for Israel that day! Then Joshua and the Israelite army returned to their camp at Gilgal.
Joshua 10:13-14
Is The Moving Sun Actually 93 Million Miles From Earth?
In addition, man tells us that the sun is 93 million miles from Earth (NASA, Space.com, BBC).
I haven’t seen a Scripture to share here with how far God tells us the moving sun is away from the Earth, but I get a strong sense from the Holy Spirit that the sun is closer than 93 million miles from earth.
He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
John 14:17
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
John 16:13
We have all heard of the pride of Moab, for his pride is very great. We know of his lofty pride, his arrogance, and his haughty heart.
Jeremiah 48:29
“Leviathan makes the water boil with its commotion. It stirs the depths like a pot of ointment. The water glistens in its wake, making the sea look white. Nothing on earth is its equal, no other creature so fearless. Of all the creatures, it is the proudest. It is the king of beasts.”
Job 41:31-34
In that day the Lord will take his terrible, swift sword and punish Leviathan, the swiftly moving serpent, the coiling, writhing serpent. He will kill the dragon of the sea.
Isaiah 27:1
What is the Holy Spirit telling you about the distance of the sun away from the Earth?
